I like fitness and strength but cardio was missing from my workouts - and the typical cardio (running, stairs, cycling) bored me. I developed some skipping skills and I felt empowered. I wasn’t good at any sports growing up, but then I realized as I got into martial arts, (and mainly boxing nowadays), I wanted to be as light and quick on my feet as possible. Picking up my first money rope has helped my timing and footwork tremendously, but not just for boxing but overall health. INSPIRE. "Running water never grows stale. I realized there was more to skipping than just singles and DUs, and that skipping was an art form that could be built on and refined - which gave me an entire new perspective on jumprope. I particularly loved the RA style as the focus is heavily on proper technique and looking effortless - which is really what separates good skippers from great ones. I was hooked and knew I wanted to be apart of this worldwide skipping movement.  HOW HAS SKIPPING IMPACTED YOUR LIFE? Skipping has made me a better person. It has taught me that discipline and patience are a state of mind - and the mentality needed to overcome struggles with skipping can be translated to any life situation. It has also been a form of therapy to clear my mind when I am feeling anxious and overwhelmed. I grab my rope, put on my headphones and let my mind go.
